CHRISTIE ZARKOVICH

Board Member

Christie Zarkovich brings over 25 years of institutional investment experience. She is currently the Managing Director of Investments at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, where she plays a leadership role in growing and managing the Foundation’s endowment to support its grantmaking and operations. She leads strategy development across a broad range of asset classes and oversees a network of external investment managers.

 

Prior to joining the Kauffman Foundation, Christie was the Chief Financial and Investment Officer at Health Forward Foundation. She also served as the Managing Director of Impact and Sustainable Investment Research at Cambridge Associates, where she led ESG, sustainable, and impact investing research across both marketable and private asset classes, advising foundations and private clients with portfolios ranging from $250 million to over $10 billion. Her earlier roles include senior investment positions at Perella Weinberg Partners, The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Alfred I. duPont Testamentary Trust.

 

Christie holds a B.S. from the Colorado School of Mines and an M.S. in Finance and an MBA from the University of Denver.  She is a CFA Charterholder and serves on the boards of the Children’s Mercy Hospital Foundation and the Kansas City Art Institute.  She is also a Trustee for the RBC Funds and Independent Investment Committee Member for Pivotal Ventures. Christie lives in Kansas City with her family and enjoys traveling and being in nature.
